Website Speed Test

Check measurable aspects of a website's performance, including HTTP status, redirects, response headers, DNS information, network timing and TTFB when browser security rules allow it. Measurements that cannot be obtained reliably are reported as Not available in this test rather than estimated.

Test a website URL

The test may perform multiple requests and DNS lookups. A direct browser timing check is attempted when the target website permits the required cross-origin access. Depending on the target and network conditions, the test may take several seconds.

What this tool measures

  • HTTP response: checks the final HTTP status, redirect information, response headers and final URL when available.
  • Network timing: measures the response time observed by the test, including the network path between the browser, measurement service and target website where applicable.
  • Browser timing: attempts to collect DNS, connection, TLS and TTFB information when the target's cross-origin timing permissions allow the browser to expose it.
  • DNS information: checks available A and AAAA records for the hostname through a public DNS service.

What it does not measure

  • It does not perform a full browser-rendered performance audit of the target page.
  • It does not directly measure FCP, LCP, INP or CLS for the target website.
  • It does not provide an official Google score.
  • It does not reproduce the exact experience of every visitor, device, browser or geographic location.
  • It does not replace a complete performance audit using real-user or controlled browser testing.

Understanding the Website Diagnostic Score

The Website Diagnostic Score is an internal YourAnalystAI calculation based only on the measurements available during the test.

It is not a Google score, ranking score, PageSpeed Insights score or Core Web Vitals score.

The individual factors, measurements and weighting used by the calculation are displayed in the test report so you can see how the result was produced.

Because the score depends on the measurements available at test time, running the same test later may produce a different result.

Limitations & transparency

Browser security policies such as CORS can prevent this page from directly inspecting or rendering another website inside its own browser context.

These restrictions are respected rather than bypassed.

Response times may include more than the target website itself. Depending on the measurement method, they can also include the user's connection, the measurement service and the network path between the different systems.

Every result should therefore be interpreted together with its source and measurement method.

The submitted URL may be transmitted to the external services required to perform the requested checks. YourAnalystAI does not maintain a database of submitted URLs or generated performance reports. See the Privacy Policy .

Website performance terms explained

TTFB (Time to First Byte)
TTFB describes the time until the first byte of a response becomes available to the browser. It can be influenced by DNS resolution, network conditions, connection setup, server processing and other parts of the request path.
Response time
Response time describes how long a request takes to receive a response from the tested service. The exact measurement depends on where the request originates and how it is made.
LCP (Largest Contentful Paint)
LCP measures when the largest visible content element has been rendered in the browser viewport. It requires a rendered page measurement and is therefore not directly measured by this cross-origin diagnostic.
INP (Interaction to Next Paint)
INP measures responsiveness to user interactions during a page session. It requires real interaction with a rendered page and is not directly measured by this tool.
CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift)
CLS measures unexpected movement of page content during loading and interaction. It requires observing a rendered page over time.
DNS resolution
DNS resolution translates a domain name into information such as IP addresses. Slow or unreliable DNS resolution can contribute to connection delays.
Redirects
Redirects send a request from one URL to another. Multiple redirects can add additional network requests before the final resource is reached.
Response headers
HTTP response headers provide information about the returned resource, caching, content type, security policies and other aspects of the server response.
Why images affect performance
Large or inefficiently encoded images can increase the amount of data a page needs to download. Appropriate dimensions, compression and modern image formats can help reduce transfer size when they are suitable for the page.
Why JavaScript affects performance
JavaScript can increase download, parsing and execution work. Unnecessary or heavy scripts may delay rendering or interaction, especially on slower devices.
Why hosting affects response time
Server processing, caching, infrastructure, geographic distance and network conditions can all affect how quickly a website responds to requests.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is TTFB unavailable for my website?
Browser timing information for a cross-origin website can be restricted by the target server. When the required timing permissions are unavailable, this tool reports TTFB as unavailable rather than estimating a value.
Is the Website Diagnostic Score a Google score?
No. The Website Diagnostic Score is a simplified calculation created by YourAnalystAI from the checks performed by this tool. It is not a Google ranking score, PageSpeed Insights score or Core Web Vitals assessment.
Why are multiple requests used during the test?
Multiple measurements can provide more useful information about response consistency than a single request. Network conditions and server load can vary between requests, so the report identifies the measurements and their sources.
Does this tool measure Core Web Vitals?
No. The tool does not perform a complete rendered-page Core Web Vitals test. Metrics such as LCP, INP and CLS require a browser session that renders and observes the target page.
